Weekend Journal Artventures

Honesty is the best policy, so I've heard. But unfortunately, depending on who you're being honest with, that virtue can leave me searching for a chill pill at the end of a conversation. Somehow I become the bad person for telling it like it is.

Spine. Backbone. Use it. Or loose it.

I'm beginning to believe that children who are psychologically damaged have been raised by psychologically damaged PARENTS!

I have found that you can get through some people some of the time. Then there are those that don't get it, never will and they tend to give me hot flashes and high blood pressure. Rather than waste my time and energy trying to get through, I end the conversation and journal. By the end of finding just the right words and images my pressure is back to normal and the sweats have gone away. Journaling, it's a good thing.

fantastic post. as i get older, i cannot abide being with people who i have to struggle with. life is too short for that. what i would really love to do is be able to stick all these feelings into this form as you do, one day, one day i hope to give it a try (one of my dreams for retirement, to extend my artyness and expand my horizons).have a good week linda.

Absolutely journaling is a good thing. I agree that most of the time children are a product of their environment. Sometimes it is a sad state of affairs. Having to deal with it daily would be trying.

Hahaha, comadre, I've been the bad person for ever! Most people don't want to hear anything that goes against what they prefer to believe. And I don't care to have conversations about "american idol" or whatever is they want to talk about. So, sometimes it gets lonely when I want some good conversation.

Soul, start small. ATC journals! There you go!
Lisa, I could not take this on a daily basis. I or someone else could be dead. LOL!
Hey WW, thanks for coming out your hut to check out my blog post and for your wise words.
Comadre Chris, I KNOW too well what you mean about speaking your mind. American Idol? Are you serious?! You missed Adam's amazing voice last season. I only watched it to hear him sing. LOL!
