Make It Take It

There will be a Make-It-Take-It this Friday night over at Stampin' From the Heart hosted by yours truly! Here's a sneak peak at what you'll make. As always, we'll be creating one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Backgrounds are painted and worn to create a weathered look. All parts of the art dolls are pre-cut and ready to be assembled. You need not bring any supplies. I love these giant tags and so will you! They make great tag cards for that special someone - just stamp or write a message on back. For those who can't bear to part with them, they make great works of art to add to your gallery.

Hope you can come out and play with us cause it'll be fun! You can make up to three tags and each one is $5. Karen sells the giant tags we'll be creating art on and you can buy some to take home so that you can make more amazing backgrounds in the colors of your choice AND she sells acrylic paints too! The fun runs from 4:30 - 8:30, no sign-ups necessary. Looking forward to seeing you!

I had to check out your link...saw it on artgang LA. I was very happy to see my link on your blog following! I saw the lattest photo with the bird head lady and thought, "That looks like my recent post.." and then saw my blog name. What a happy surprise! I have been wanting to come check out your store. Keep posting and one of these days I'll make it out there!

Robin, you just never know what you're gonna see on my blog, do you?! LOL! I WISH I had a store to call my own but in this day and age, maybe I'm better off with my 8- 3, huh? It would be great though if you could come out to Stampin' From the Heart to check out the shop. I swear, you've never seen so many stamps - from ceiling to the floor. No kidding. And paper. And ink. And spools and spools of ribbons. And acrylic paints. I feel like an ad. LOL!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hope to see you again!

Hi Linda,
It was so good to see your comment on my blog! These tags are SO COOL (my daughter's over-hearing me as I look at each one and go "Oooooh!" She thinks I'm funny.) I wish I still lived in LA so I could take your class. What part of town is Stampin' from the Heart in? (I grew up in the Valley.) I also loved your post about the emotional crisis - the synchronicity of that song and the words on the girl's dress - cosmic! It gave me chills. I'm glad you're feeling better. I can't wait to do some journaling again!

lulu, the shop is located in Culver City area but it's zoned in L.A. Not too far from the valley. Do you still have family living there? If you visit, drop on by and we can spend an artfully exciting day!
Thanks for stopping by!
