Yesterday was my first day home from work. As I sat at the table drinking coffee I kept wondering, "what next?" Am I stuck so deep in my work mode that I don't know how to relax and "BE?" What happened to me this school year? I'm usually clicking my heels and doing the "School's-Out-Cheer." Well, the answer on what to do next came while I was on the phone in my daughter's room. The words were in plain sight splattered across a post card (I think it's a post card and because I strongly believe in the act of privacy I didn't turn it around to read what was on the back. Now I'm curious. LOL!!). So that is what I'll do - Keep Calm and Carry On.
I spent the rest of the day paying no attention to the time. Instead I took a nap after lunching on a bowl of chocolate Cheerios. Have you tried those? Guiltless pleasure for this chocolate nut I tell ya! Watch, they'll be off the shelves due to lack of interest next week.
Unlike my morning dilemma on what to do, I'm never lost when it comes to the afternoon. Perhaps because I'm so used to going straight to the yard after work to stroll among the flowers and do some pruning or watering, it only comes natural for me to keep with that familiar routine. The beautiful hydrangeas were a Mother's Day gift from my daughter, Gina. I'm a sucker for hydrangeas and these give beautiful hues and large heads of fuchsia and as they age they turn purple.
Here's a sneak peek of backgrounds for my "Not Your Momma's Brag Book." Now that I think about it, I think I'm one of those momma's from the past but NO, not really cause I didn't have a brag book. Did you? Although I need to make decisions on the focal images of these pages, I'm not about to stress it. It'll all come together soon enough cause remember, I have to keep calm and carry on.
